  1. My mum used to make this in the 70s. Get a French stick, cut the top off but not to thick, take all the middle out & put to the side. Fry around 250mg of mice with onions till brown, add a drop of gravy so it’s not dry but not loads so it’s swimming, then add the bread to the mince, if looks to dry add some more gravy. Place the top back on brush with a little oil & add salt & pepper. Wrap in foil & cook for around 15 mins. Serve with veggies

    • This is your invitation to the Launch, which is being held during the Bradford Heritage Week, (13-19 July) run by Vicky at Bradford Heritage Connection CIC.
On Wednesday 15th July, at Bradford Local Studies Library, starting at 4pm running until 6:30pm. You are invited to attend the launch, which will include a short talk by the Cinderella Club, who 130 years ago this year facilitated the first city wide feeding of children in schools, which became the forerunner to the 1906 Education (Provision of Meals ) Act.
You will also have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the book for £5.99, (cash only I am afraid).

If you would like to attend, please let me know by either email (local.studies@bradford.gov.uk) or calling 01274 433688 so I can reserve you a seat, as our spaces are limited.

Our address is Margaret McMillan Tower ( the building with the big wire baby outside), -Side entrance, opposite Henry Mitchell House.
      Princes Way, BD1 1NN.

      Many regards

      Vicki
